Hello and welcome to my little blog.
My name is Mike Donelly. I am a founding owner of Apartmentsapart a travel company with around 150 staff, and Ultimo Kuchyne, a Czech kitchen retailer with the biggest showrooms in the country’s biggest cities. I gave up working from the office about 5 or 6 years ago. These days I run the company from home and I can’t say it hurt the productivity at all. Quite the opposite as now I am not tied to a desk 8 or 10 hours a day. I learned the art of delegation and of the importance of putting excellent people in my place. Now I decide when I need to work, and in the mean time I can get other things done, like looking into other businesses or focusing on my interests. As an aside, I also am tracking my progress against autoimmune disease on this blog about worm therapy.
This lifestyle inspired me to start this website so I could share the philosophy that I believe helped me become efficient and successful. We discuss here how to use your time effectively and highlight tools that save time, resources health and energy.
What makes this site unique in my opinion is that, in contrast to the so-called self help / motivation gurus, I didn’t make my money by selling books on how to be successful. I did it with a real life business and more than once.
If I can help just a few people on the ladder to success, be it financial or goal orientated I will have achieved my aim. I wish you success on life’s road. There is no magic formula but we can undoubtedly improve our probability of fulfilment!
